Terms of Service

1. About these Terms

These Terms set the conditions for using Morse (the iOS, Android and Desktop apps and their service, "Morse").
Morse is operated by Yeong-Won Kim (individual, Republic of Korea) ("the operator").
By creating an account or continuing to use Morse, you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Community Guidelines.
If you do not agree, you may not use Morse.

You must be at least 14 years old. If we learn that an account belongs to someone younger, we delete it.
One person may have more than one account. But if you create a new account to get around the rules below, all of your accounts may be suspended.

You are responsible for keeping your account safe. Do not share your recovery code or app passcode with anyone.
The operator cannot see your recovery code. If you lose it, you may not be able to get your account back.
You can delete your account in the app at any time. Deletion cannot be undone (what is deleted is described in the Privacy Policy).

Morse does not allow objectionable content or behavior that harms others. Do not:

Send spam, scams or phishing, or unwanted mass messages or invitations.
Harass, threaten or stalk anyone, or impersonate another person.
Encourage or glorify violence, terrorism or self-harm.
Post hate speech (attacks based on race, ethnicity, religion, disability, gender, sexual orientation and the like).
Post any content that sexualizes or exploits children — we permanently ban the account as soon as we find it and report it to the authorities.
Share other people's private information or images without their consent.
Trade illegal goods or services, or infringe copyright or other people's rights.
Attack Morse's servers or security, or disrupt the service by automated means.

We apply these rules more strictly in places many people can see, such as public channels, channel posts, comments and stories.

In the app you can report users, groups, channels, channel posts, group messages, channel comments and stories. In a one-to-one chat, you report the other user. When you report, you can also block that user.
A user you have blocked cannot send you one-to-one messages.
The operator reviews and acts on reports within 24 hours of receiving them.
Secret chats are end-to-end encrypted, so even the operator cannot read them. Reports about secret chats are judged from what the reporter shows us and from account information.

If we find a violation, we may do the following without prior notice:

Remove the content.
Suspend the account for a period, or ban it permanently (including the same person's other accounts).
Cooperate with the authorities where the law requires it.

If you disagree with an action, contact us at the address below. We will review it again.

You keep the rights to the content you send or post.
The operator handles that content only as far as needed to provide the service (storing, delivering and displaying it).
Messages with auto-delete turned on, and stories whose time has run out, are also deleted from our servers after the set time.

The operator may change Morse's features or stop some of them. We will announce important changes in advance in the app or on this page.
Morse is provided "as is." The operator does not guarantee that the service will run without interruption or errors. To the extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for indirect damages.

When we change these Terms, we announce it on this page with the new effective date.
For important changes that are against your interests, we will ask for your agreement again in the app.
